Edward M. Cuddy, III specializes in civil litigation, international trade and maritime law, commercial transactions, insurance law, construction law, corporate law and bankruptcy law. He has been admitted to practice law in the states of New York, New Jersey and Florida, and before numerous federal courts, including the First and Second Circuit Courts of Appeal, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Mr. Cuddy received a B.S. degree from the State University of New York, Maritime College, Fort Schuyler (1975), was licensed as a Third Mate in the United States Merchant Marine, and received a J.D. degree from Fordham University Law School (1978). From 1979 to 1993, Mr. Cuddy practiced with Poles, Tublin, Patestides and Stratakis, a firm with offices in New York City and Piraeus, Greece which specialized in the litigation of marine casualties and cargo claims, and the arbitration of Charter Party disputes. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Cuddy practiced with Kroll & Tract, where he specialized in maritime and aviation law, insurance defense and coverage counsel, and construction law. Since 1997, he has practiced with Snow Becker Krauss P.C., where he specializes in litigation (federal and state) in which he has extensive trial and appellate experience. Mr. Cuddy regularly appears on behalf of clients before the Society of Maritime Arbitrators and the American Arbitration Association. He has been a Proctor Member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States since 1981. Lieutenant Commander U.S.N.R. (Retired). Mr. Cuddy also is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
